Terms of Service
Last updated: October 15, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website at this domain and the website-as-a-service subscriptions offered by [Company legal name], doing business as The General Deployment Company (“General Deployment,” “we,” “us”). By using the website or subscribing to a plan, you agree to these Terms.
1. What we provide
General Deployment builds, hosts and maintains websites for businesses (the “Services”). Depending on your plan, the Services can include scanning your existing website and DNS records, building a new site, hosting it on infrastructure we operate or rent, managing your DNS through a third-party provider such as Cloudflare, and making changes you request.
The scan on our website reads only publicly available information about a domain, such as its public web pages and DNS records. It does not change anything on your current website, domain or email.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you subscribe on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorized to bind that business, and “you” includes it. You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your login credentials secure.
3. Your domain and DNS
- You must own or be authorized to manage any domain you connect to the Services.
- Your domain stays registered to you. Connecting it to us means pointing its nameservers or DNS records to services we manage; it does not transfer ownership of the domain.
- Before switching your DNS, we copy your existing records, including email records. You are responsible for reviewing the records we show you and telling us about any we missed.
- If we register a new domain for you, it is registered in your name or your business’s name through a third-party registrar, subject to that registrar’s terms.
4. Plans, billing and setup fees
- New Launch, Grow and Scale subscriptions begin with a 12-month agreement, billed monthly in advance, then renew month-to-month. The plan and price shown to you before checkout are based on the information you and our scan provide, such as page count, industry and features.
- A one-time setup fee may apply. Any waiver of the setup fee, including a founding-customer offer, is stated at checkout.
- Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. You authorize us to charge your payment method for each billing period until you cancel.
- Your monthly price stays fixed during the initial 12-month term. After that, we may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice, effective from your next monthly renewal.
- If your needs change substantially (for example, many more pages or new features), we may move you to a different plan after telling you and giving you the chance to cancel.
5. Launch timing
We aim to launch your new site within seven days of you connecting your domain and providing anything we ask for. If we miss that window for reasons within our control, your first month is free. Delays caused by missing information, approvals or third-party providers don’t count toward the window.
6. Changes to your site
Launch includes one page and 2 changes per month. Grow includes up to 5 pages and 5 changes per month. Scale includes up to 15 pages and 10 changes per month. A change updates existing content, such as text, photos, hours or a service. A new page within your plan’s page limit counts as two changes. A full redesign is quoted separately. Unused changes don’t carry over.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you provide or that we import from your existing site, such as text, photos and logos (“Your Content”). You give us a license to copy, adapt, host and display Your Content only to provide the Services. You confirm you have the rights to Your Content and that it doesn’t violate the law or anyone else’s rights.
We own our software, templates, tools and other materials. While your subscription is active, you may use the site we build for your business. If you cancel, we export Your Content on request.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Publish anything unlawful, deceptive, infringing, hateful or harassing.
- Send spam, distribute malware or run phishing pages.
- Interfere with our systems or other customers’ sites, or try to access them without permission.
- Scan or connect domains you don’t own or aren’t authorized to manage.
We may suspend a site that breaks these rules or puts other customers at risk.
9. Third-party services
The Services rely on providers such as hosting companies, Cloudflare, domain registrars, email providers and payment processors. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we aren’t responsible for outages or changes on their side, although we will work with them to resolve issues affecting your site.
10. Availability
We work to keep your site online and secure, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, provider outages and events outside our control can cause downtime.
11. Cancellation and termination
- You can request cancellation at any time. During the initial 12-month term, cancellation takes effect at the end of that term and monthly payments remain due through it. After the initial term, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current monthly billing period.
- When you leave, we give you the DNS records needed to move your domain back to your own provider, keep your email records intact during the handover, and export Your Content on request.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or stated in these Terms.
- We may end the Services for non-payment or a serious breach of these Terms, after notice where practical.
12. Disclaimers
Except as stated in these Terms, the Services are provided “as is.” We don’t promise any particular number of visitors, leads, search rankings or sales.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
14. Indemnity
You agree to cover claims, losses and costs arising from Your Content, your domain, or your breach of these Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [State], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in that state.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify subscribers by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the updated Terms.
